Night photography

Steve had a question about how to get better star shapes from distant light sources so I shot these to show the difference. These were shot from f1.4 - F16. These are the ranges the 30mm Sigma lens I was using would shoot. A few are not as sharp because the tower I was on had a fair amount of shake.

OK, so I apparently haven't been logged in for more than a month. Sucks cuz I never realized I was missing things! (I just thought we had gotten particularly slow recently....)

Thanks for posting this! It's one of those knowledge-base things that's good to keep track of for future reference.
