Programs:
I thought it might make sense to start listing our programs:

January 23, 2008 - Makeup Artist and Studio Lighting Demonstration
Colleen Kraska (www.makeupbycolleenk.com) joined us and taught us how to best apply makeup. Then member Richard Lim (www.8eight8.com) demonstrated some studio lighting techniques with Ron Howes. Everyone took turns "plugging in" to Richard's lights and trying their hand at studio portraits. A special thanks to Amy and Rachel (our models)!

March 28, 2007 - Program Speaker - Howard Bond · "Composition"
In many competition-oriented camera clubs, it is necessary to adhere to
certain "rules of composition" in order to obtain high scores. Yet,
prominent photographers don't seem to know or care about such rules.
Howard Bond will present some alternative ways of thinking about
composition.
Howard Bond began photographing in 1945 & after periods of making pictures
for others & a brief music career has been engaged in photography as a fine-art
since the 60's concentrating on self-assigned photography since 1979 and has
been making b&w prints that are sold directly & by galleries. This is
both his joy and his livelihood. His photographs are in the collections of more
than 30 museums in the US and Europe. He has published 2 books and 22 limited
edition portfolios of prints & has had over 60 one-man exhibitions &
40 group exhibitions, mostly in museums and galleries. He has also taught workshops,
does lectures & writes articles on photography. He is a master printer with
great vision whose works are always technically perfect & aesthetically
beautiful at the same time.
